House of Representatives Budget.....more of the same

The new budget coming out of committee for next year is more of the same. Less money for domestic spending such as veterans benefits and plenty of tax cuts for the rich and more borrowed money from other countries seems to be the order of the day. Don't you wish you could budget your household like that?

Domestic spending will be cut. This is basically any money spent on United States citizens. The categories range from veterans benefits to road projects. At the same time is does nothing to curb the National Debt that is bleeding our country dry. All President Bush's tax cuts to the rich are still there. It seems that the rich do not even have to sacrifice even during times of war.

The rich have less family members in the military. On top of that many that do have family members in the military can afford to get them less dangerous jobs there. The average and the poor, the ones who are going without to afford this war, are also the same ones coming home in body bags or missing limbs. It seems some are having to pay twice so that the rich can have their cake and eat it too. It appears that the government feels that this is the American way.

Are they right? Is this the American way? There are enough American citizens that are going without to make the rich richer, to put an end to this. How long will this continue to be allowed to happen? When will Americans stand up and say, "No more!" Will Americans ever stand up and say that enough is enough?

It is up to you to demand change. How bad does it have to get before you are willing to stand up and demand change?
