Republicans in the House of Representatives rejected along party lines an amendment by Rep. Edward Markey, D-Mass., that would require within five years that all containers entering the U.S. be screened for radiation.

This appears to be another failure of the Republican party to secure our borders. It is clear that less than 5 years after September 11, 2001, the Republicans are abandoning the citizens of the United States.

This will come as great news to terrorists that are planning future attacks. It helps give them more viable options of attack.
